August 18: Back-to-School Roundtable (Tacoma, WA)
Join school nurses and administrators, health professionals, and other parents to share knowledge about providing the best care for children with type 1 diabetes in school. Discuss 504 plans, diabetes education for school staff, tips for parents and educators to help manage the disease at school, and more.
August 30: Jetty Island Beach Day (Everett, WA)
Enjoy a relaxing day at the beach on Jetty Island with other families living with type 1 diabetes. Bring your sand toys and kick back at the beach with us!
Sept. 12: On the Greens Golf Tournament (Gig Harbor, WA)
Join us on the links and support a cure for type 1 diabetes! Our annual golf tournament and dinner auction takes place at the Canterwood Golf and Country Club in Gig Harbor. (Event volunteers are needed!)
Sept. 26: Seattle-Sweden Diabetes Awareness Day and Research Update (Seattle, WA)
Hear recent news in type 1 diabetes research and care on Sept. 26 at Seattle Children's Hospital. Get updates on new research from Seattle and Sweden, the JDRF sensor study, the Diamyd vaccine, insulin-producing stem cells, and JDRF's new clinical trial matching service.
Sept. 26: Spokane Walk to Cure Diabetes (Spokane, WA)
If you're in Eastern Washington, take a 3-mile stroll at Riverfront Park in downtown Spokane to raise funds for type 1 research!
November 14: World Diabetes Day at Imagine Children's Museum (Everett, WA)
Join us at the Imagine Children's Museum to recognize World Diabetes Day with a night of family fun. Enjoy the exhibits, learn about new diabetes products, and meet other local families.
